The art of creating fine needlework is a tradition that has been handed down by the women in my family for generations, dating back to the early 1800's. My Grandmother who taught me to stitch was considered an expert needleworker, as was her Mother and Grandmother. Folks used to commission my Grandmother to make show towels, dresser scarfs, samplers, pantry cloths, handkerchiefs and tablecloths - her needlework designs and handwork was amazing.

My Grandmother began teaching me her stitching techniques which she learned from her Grandmother when I was six-years old. I perfected my Grandmother's technique and began creating my own original needlework designs more than 35 years ago.

I stitch my models myself - working each piece as though it were going to be displayed in my own home.
