The art of creating fine needlework is a tradition that has been handed down by the women in my family for generations, dating back to the 1800's. My Grandmother who taught me to stitch was considered an expert needleworker, as was her Mother and Grandmother (scroll down to see photo). Folks used to commission my Grandmother to make show towels, dresser scarfs, pantry cloths, handkerchiefs and tablecloths - her unique needlework designs and handwork was amazing. When I was six-years old, my Grandmother began teaching me her needlework techniques which she learned from her Grandmother. I have been creating my own original needlework designs for more than 35 years, selling my finished goods at local venues and art and craft shows. In 2005 I began selling my original needlework designs on the internet and in 2009 with encouragement from some of my customers, I decided to begin creating my own line of Primitive style cross stitch patterns.
